The Piasecki (Vertol) H-21 Workhorse/Shawnee is an American helicopter, the fourth of a line of tandem rotor helicopters designed and built by Piasecki Helicopter (later Boeing Vertol). Commonly called "the flying banana", it was a multi-mission helicopter, using wheels, skis and floats.
The H-21 was originally developed by Piasecki as an Arctic rescue helicopter. The H-21 had cold-weather features permitting operation at temperatures as low as −65 °F (−54 °C) and could be routinely maintained in severe cold weather environments.
About Trident Miniatures
Trident, whose products are imported from Austria by Walthers, was founded in 1966. Their goal was to provide collectors with accurate replicas of prototype vehicles through the use of extensive research, photos and, when possible, original blueprints. Trident offers a wide variety of 1/87 model kits featuring plastic and white-metal parts, as well as a line of military decals.
